ART for ALL helps people experiencing homelessness in Austin create art, earn income, and connect with the community. Together, artists and participants are turning the Austin Central Library garage into colorful murals that share stories of hope, pride, and belonging.
How It Works
ART for ALL offers individuals experiencing housing or economic insecurity a chance to:
CREATE PUBLIC ART
Participants help design and paint murals that brighten public spaces across Austin.
EARN SAME-DAY PAY
Artists earn up to $250 in cash for 6–8 hours of work, which is higher than Austin’s living wage.
ACCESS SUPPORT SERVICES
Certified peer specialists are on-site to connect participants with support like housing, job help, food, clothing, and health services.
Each program day, community members can enter a lottery for 20–30 work spots. In 2026, ART for ALL will provide more than $250,000 in same-day pay to over 100 participants, offering both income and a sense of pride through creative work.
